The HIL Commissioning Engineer specializes in setting up and verifying simulation benches to test embedded control units, ensuring real-time simulation functionality for automotive and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities
HIL Bench Setup: Assembling and maintaining HIL test benches (e.g., dSPACE, Vector), including wiring harness design, debugging, and I/O configuration
System Commissioning: Bringing up ECUs on the bench, ensuring communication (CAN, LIN), and validating that the simulation matches physical hardware behavior
Test Execution: Developing and running automated/manual test cases to validate control software, including fault injection and boundary testing
Troubleshooting: Debugging hardware/software communication issues, analyzing test results, and collaborating with design teams
We need a candidate who can understand the ECU Specifications, understand the IO and help Ford choose the Proper VT Cards
The SW Configuration to enable the VT Card to perform
Automating the existing TCs or creating new TCs to be able to run on VT
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science
Proficiency with tools like Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, and Python scripting for automation
Strong understanding of embedded systems, communication protocols, and control theory
Previous experience in ECU testing, automotive, or similar simulation environments
