Responsibilities
Collaborate in an MBSE environment to maintain the model, support development of system-of-systems requirements via system/component trade studies and analysis
Lead the development of Change Notices (CNs) to Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA’s) system specification to include functional, interface and performance requirements, architectural models, interface definitions
Support Trace verification from System to Element level requirements
Develop and deliver products (i.e., technical briefings) to support internal and MDA stakeholder reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of related experience, or a Master's STEM Degree and 10 years of related experience, or 8 years of related experience with a PhD
Demonstrate a strong technical background in architecture development, functional decomposition and allocation of requirements (performance, functional and interface definition) with system-modelling tools
Applicants must have strong prior experience with the use of MSOSA (Cameo) and DOORS
Demonstrated knowledge in any of the MDA domain areas, including Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Glide Phase Intercept (GPI), Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS), Fire Control, C2BMC, MDS sensors (EO/IR/RF)
Applicants must have experience maintaining architecture models and metamodels
Experience leading and briefing design reviews from the model, I.e. Digital Design Review
Ability to think critically and capture concepts in papers, presentations and discussions
Excellent communication/presentation skills and be capable of working both independently and within a small team environment
The successful candidate will work in close coordination with the customer
Must be willing to work full time on-site at a customer facility in Huntsville, AL. (Boeing Jetplex)
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start
Preferred
Experience modeling or simulating missile defense applications or similar domains (air combat, air defense, intercept of ballistic targets, intercept of non-ballistic targets, space vehicles, sub-orbital mechanics, etc.)
Experience administrating an architecture model
Knowledge of ballistic and advanced threat systems (i.e., aero-maneuvering, hypersonic, hyper-glide, countermeasures, etc.)
Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems
Knowledge of integrating AI techniques within MBSE practices to optimize productivity and enhance quality
