Responsibilities
Must obtain and maintain qualifications/certifications as directed by the supervisor to include but not limited to; aircraft inspections, structures, electrical, low observables, hydraulic couplings, window replacement, engine/tailpipe removal/installation
Perform a variety of inspections/operations such as Phase, HPOs, remove/install aircraft engines/tailpipe, electrical wiring, coaxial cables and low observables
Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engines systems
Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals
Troubleshoot and accurately diagnose malfunctions to properly identify and correct problems in minimum time
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals
Measures parts with precision tools such as, micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations
May perform similar duties in aircraft build, modification, or maintenance role
Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
Troubleshoot and accurately diagnose malfunctions to properly identify and correct problems in minimum time
Qualification
Required
Level 3: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience in the Aviation and Aerospace industry and / or additional education
Level 4: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 6 years of relevant experience in the Aviation and Aerospace industry and / or additional education
Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals
This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces
Must be able to pass a physical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements
Preferred
Active DOD Secret Clearance with an investigation date/periodic review within the last 6 years
Completion of A&P certificate program or Associates degree in an applicable field
