Deputy District Court Administrator
Whatcom County District Court is seeking a Deputy District Court Administrator to assist in the overall administration and daily operations of the Court. This position serves as a key member of the Court’s management team, supporting the District Court & Probation Administrator and providing leadership across court operations, personnel management, financial oversight, and compliance with applicable laws, policies, and court rules.

Responsibilities
Assists in the overall administration of District Court operations, serving as a member of the management team and providing leadership in the Administrator’s absence
Oversees and coordinates court operations including courtroom supervision, calendaring, records management, and technology systems
Leads personnel management activities such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and application of labor agreements and County policies
Supports fiscal and administrative functions including budgeting, purchasing, revenue oversight, and internal controls
Ensures compliance with court rules, County policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable state and federal laws while maintaining effective relationships with the judiciary, staff, and external partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, criminal justice or a closely related field
5 years of progressively responsible related experience
3 years of supervisory/management experience
OR
Associate's Degree; AND a Certified Court Management certification
6 years of progressively responsible related experience
4 years of supervisory/management experience
