Electrical Engineer

LHH is partnering with a client to identify an experienced Electrical Engineer to support ongoing engineering initiatives and drive technical excellence within their organization. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test electrical systems, components, and equipment to meet project requirements and industry standards
Produce detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD and other relevant tools
Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to electrical controls, power distribution, automation systems, or instrumentation
Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities for electrical systems in collaboration with operations and maintenance teams
Evaluate project specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and cost considerations while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders
Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and manufacturing engineering teams to support integrated solutions
Stay current with emerging technologies, electrical design practices, and industry advancements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required
2–7+ years of relevant experience in electrical design, engineering, or systems integration
Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards, or other industry-specific codes
Proficiency with electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP, SKM, etc.)
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
Experience with PLCs, drives, instrumentation, or industrial power systems a plus
