Responsibilities
Operates track hoe, dozer, tracked loader, and front end loader to stockpile, spread and/or compact soils/granular materials, clear ditches and other drainage channels, remove tree stumps from highway right-of-way, clear brush and debris from under bridge decks. Operates track-hoe to install, repair or replace drainage structures, catch basin junction boxes, and load materials
Provide guidance to lower level operators and may oversee activities of the unit in the absence of the Highway Foreman 2
Makes minor repairs on equipment and performs preventative maintenance in order to maintain equipment in good operating condition
Operates smaller equipment, power tools and hand tools as necessary
May be required to perform other duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency/ disaster support
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience in mobile equipment operations
A valid, unexpired Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) will be required upon appointment
