Manufacturing Process Engineer
Praxt Talent is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Manufacturing & Process Engineer to support and advance manufacturing operations in a technically complex production environment. This role focuses on continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, optimize efficiency, and ensure high-quality output across production lines.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, throughput, and efficiency
Analyze process data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive root-cause problem solving
Lead initiatives focused on waste reduction, yield improvement, and process consistency using LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies
Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to introduce new materials, tooling, and process technologies
Support process qualifications, testing activities, and documentation for both new and existing products
Create and maintain process documentation including work instructions, control plans, and validation records
Provide hands-on technical support to production teams to ensure effective process execution
Participate in cross-functional projects related to cost reduction, reliability, and operational improvements
Ensure processes meet internal safety standards, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
4–6 years of experience in a manufacturing or process-driven production environment
Strong working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles
Demonstrated success implementing process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD; exposure to CNC, automation, or advanced manufacturing technologies is a plus
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause problem-solving skills
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus
