Responsibilities
Own technical architecture and delivery quality for Snowflake and dbt-based Data Management engagements
Set technical direction and establish standards, patterns, and reusable components across the team
Lead architectural decision-making, including tradeoffs across performance, cost, scalability, security, and governance
Serve as the primary technical escalation point for client engagements
Design scalable Snowflake architectures supporting analytics, reporting, and downstream data products
Define and enforce analytics engineering standards, including modular modeling, testing, documentation, and version control in dbt
Lead discovery and solution design workshops with business and technical stakeholders
Translate ambiguous business requirements into well-structured data models and platform architectures
Guide teams in building performance-optimized ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt best practices
Oversee data quality frameworks, governance-by-design implementations, and semantic layer strategy
Ensure secure, production-ready implementations including role-based access control and secure data sharing in Snowflake
Drive CI/CD strategy and release management processes for analytics engineering workflows
Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies
Mentor consultants and senior consultants on architecture, modeling standards, and client communication
Collaborate with cross-functional and client teams using agile delivery methodologies
Present architectural recommendations, tradeoffs, and technical roadmaps clearly to client stakeholders
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data management roles
Proven experience leading architecture and delivery for Snowflake-based data platforms
Deep hands-on experience with dbt, including advanced modeling strategies, testing frameworks, documentation, and CI/CD integration
Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, cost management, and security design
Advanced SQL skills and strong understanding of modern data warehousing and semantic modeling concepts
Experience designing reusable accelerators for ingestion, transformation, and analytics engineering
Demonstrated ability to evaluate architectural tradeoffs across performance, cost, governance, and maintainability
Experience implementing governance-by-design principles in modern cloud data platforms
Strong consulting and client leadership skills, including leading discovery, facilitating workshops, and managing technical expectations
Ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges and drive consensus on architectural direction
Experience mentoring and reviewing work to ensure consistency and delivery quality
Experience working in agile, client-facing consulting environments
