Responsibilities
Collaborate & Code: Work closely with fellow engineers to design, develop, and test platform services, ensuring they meet both customer needs and our high standards for performance
Ensure Operational Excellence: Contribute to ensuring the platform services are operational and performant, with proactive monitoring to maintain the health of the components you own
Write Scalable Code: Create and maintain high-quality, scalable, and performant code that contributes to a seamless customer experience
Leverage Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends and external technology evolutions. Share key insights and best practices with the team to continuously improve our solutions
Customer-Centric Approach: Engage directly with customers’ needs and participate actively in sprint planning and backlog meetings with the development team and product owner. Your input will shape the direction of the product and ensure we’re building solutions that truly benefit our users
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) or 2+ years of experience building scalable applications
5+ years experience with Java or Scala and their associated frameworks
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Familiarity with Kafka or similar technologies
Strong critical thinking and ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems
Solid understanding of software design and architecture principles
Experience in code reviews and writing high-quality, maintainable code
