Career Services Instructor, Work Ready & EARN
Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is a nonprofit organization that funds job training and education programs. The Career Services Instructor will provide instruction, curriculum development, and client support for participants in the Work Ready and EARN programs, focusing on individuals facing barriers to employment.

Responsibilities
Facilitate orientation, HIPAA training, and short-term credentialing sessions with program participants
Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures and support the use of the LMS and other technology in the delivery of training and development content
Research, outline and plan curriculum and lesson plans around departmental and contractual standards
Organize and assist with the development of training procedure manuals, guides and other course materials such as handouts and visual materials
Monitor, evaluate, and record training and development activities on program effectiveness
Maintain accurate client records and report attendance in accordance with funding source requirements
Ensure the secure transfer of all required information necessary for referring programs and funders to meet compliance
Be aware of and follow guidelines for all applicable regulatory entities such as Literacy Pittsburgh, Department of Public Welfare, Department of Labor and PA Department of Education
Communicate production/job specific expectations to the client; meet regularly with site management to ensure communication of business needs
Correctly complete and submit all required and requested program documentation and attend required professional development programming
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent AND 5 years of experience required
Associates degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or other related field AND 3 years of experience required
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or other related field AND 1 year of experience required
Experience teaching, tutoring, or facilitating instruction, required
Student teaching and practicum experiences are accepted
Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of employment
Preferred
Experience with curriculum in job readiness, professional development or workforce development areas, preferred
