Responsibilities
Provide technical support and training for customers with a majority of the focus on new installations
Assist with customer inquiries, production issues and troubleshooting for non-service related problems related to the machine's performance
Assist Sales staff with sales calls, research, machine recommendations and time studies
Researching, ordering tooling, workholding and materials as it relates to special projects
Collaborate with other Application Engineer’s on open projects
All other duties assigned
Qualification
Required
Basic Understanding and Ability to Read Mechanical Drawings and Layouts
Basic Understanding of mechanical systems
Competent in basic hand tools for machine tool repair
Basic CAD/CAM skills required
Must have the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
Needs to possess excellent troubleshooting skills
Must have good customer service skills
Ability to maintain good relations with customers and fellow colleagues
Must be a team player
Should have excellent verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to work under pressure
Valid Drivers License
Must be able to travel
Associates Degree in Machining Technology or similar from a technical Junior College and two years' experience in a CNC Machining Environment OR…
BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with a strong emphasis on CNC Machining Lab work OR…
4 Years' Experience in a CNC machine shop with a minimum of two years as a set up person included in that time
