Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyze their data needs
Perform in-depth data analysis using Redshift and other tools to derive actionable insights
Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
Create and present clear, concise executive-level presentations to communicate findings and insights
Exhibit strong logical and programming skills for data manipulation and analysis
Demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to learn, showing enthusiasm for new challenges
Qualification
Required
Proven experience with SQL and Redshift
Experience working with business stakeholders at an executive level
Exceptional executive-level communication and presentation skills
Sharp analytical skills and the ability to scrutinize details meticulously
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies
Preferred
Advanced SQL, Stored Procedures, Query Tuning, Window Functions, Execution Plan, CTE
ETL, ELT, Data Warehouse, Star Schema, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Airflow, Data Lineage
Requirements Gathering, Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, UML
Tableau, Power BI, Looker
Ability to explain complex technical concepts (like ETL logic or a complex SQL query) to non-technical stakeholders (business users, executives) clearly and concisely
Strong documentation skills for defining technical specifications and user guides
Writing complex, optimized queries using various joins, subqueries, and window functions (e.g., ROW_NUMBER(), LAG(), LEAD())
Experience with different database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake)
Proficiency in creating and managing stored procedures, views, and functions for repeatable tasks
Understanding of query performance tuning (indexing, execution plans)
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools
Understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, dimension tables, fact tables)
Ability to design and build reliable, scalable data pipelines that handle large volumes of data (batch and real-time)
A detective-like approach to finding the root cause of data discrepancies or reporting errors
Proactive identification of potential issues in data pipelines before they cause major outages
Working effectively with Data Engineers, Business Users, and Project Managers to ensure alignment on data definitions and project scope
