Responsibilities
Planning and directing all visitor services needs at the Two Mississippi Museums
Overseeing the daily operations of the visitor experience desk
Managing all aspects of tour scheduling and coordination for both museums
Hiring, supervising, and providing training and support for MDAH contractual staff, volunteers, and interns
Managing the museum's volunteer program to ensure a high-quality experience for both visitors and volunteers
Creating, evaluating, and managing the museum accessibility process in coordination with the appropriate MDAH staff
Developing and implementing strategies to achieve visitation goals
Preparing and maintaining visitation statistics to support ongoing evaluation and improvement of visitor engagement
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of experience
Candidates with prior management experience and a working knowledge of Mississippi history are strongly preferred
