Responsibilities
Coordinate and perform daily outbound shipments to ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, labeled, staged, and shipped on schedule
Monitor outbound volume and priorities, adjusting workflow as needed to meet deadlines
Ensure shipments meet customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements, including proper documentation
Coordinate and perform receiving of inbound shipments, verifying accuracy, condition, and alignment with purchase orders
Oversee proper putaway of materials using warehouse equipment, ensuring items are stored in correct zones/bins
Identify and resolve receiving discrepancies in coordination with the Warehouse Manager and internal teams
Assist in onboarding and training new Shipping & Receiving Associates on processes, systems, and safety expectations
Serve as a day-to-day resource for associates, answering questions and reinforcing standard work
Act as the primary coordination point between Shipping & Receiving Associates and the Warehouse Manager
Identify inefficiencies and assist in developing new Shipping & Receiving strategies and processes
Communicate shipment status, constraints, and issues clearly and proactively
Promote and enforce adherence to warehouse safety protocols and best practices
Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of materials
Identify safety risks and escalate or address them appropriately
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
6+ years experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations required
Basic computer skills and basic math skills
Strong attention to detail
Organizational skills
Effective communication
Teamwork abilities to manage multiple tasks
Ability to lift 50lbs and stand or move for extended periods
Understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse setting and the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
Preferred
Forklift certification preferred
