Launch Technician

Stoke Space Technologies is building a fully reusable vehicle, Nova, to revolutionize space transportation. As a Launch Technician, you will be responsible for developing and commissioning a new launch pad while collaborating with engineers to build and operate ground support systems.

Responsibilities

Build, assemble, and operate launch ground support equipment and perform handling and integration of flight hardware based on written and verbal instructions, work orders, technical drawings, CAD models, and procedures
Perform precision measurement and cleaning of hardware components
Identify discrepancies and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with engineering for resolutions and documenting corrective actions
Execute component builds or assemblies as per work orders and accurately document build processes for new and repeatable assembly sequences

Required

1+ years of experience in aerospace, mechanical, or construction environments
Knowledge of building, assembling, testing, and operating process piping, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems
Hands-on experience with assembling and operating FOD-intolerant service components and systems
Ability to safely operate hazardous systems, including high-energy, pressure, temperature, and high-power systems
Experience in lockout/tagout (LOTO), hot work permits, confined space permits, rigging, & lifting
Skilled in handling delicate and high-value assemblies
Experience in operating heavy equipment including reach-lifts and aerial lifts
Ability to work second shift and weekends as required
Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
Able to stand for extended periods
Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to obtain & maintain military installation access including DBIDS
Willing relocate to Cape Canaveral, FL
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
