Responsibilities

Responsible for performing all dispatching activities
Routes all same day/next day deliveries according to Logistics policy and procedures
Responsible for communication to the branches regarding errors in addresses, time frames, and any other work order issues that negatively impact the routing of a delivery
Updates LITE with customer notes and updates work order ship dates as necessary
Responsible for communication to the branches regarding issues that impact the ability of the Dispatcher to effectively route a work order to a driver in the field
Responsible for monitoring a driver's progress during the day, and communicating back to the branch level any issues related to impacting missed time windows
Monitors delivery staffing requirements based upon order volumes and makes appropriate adjustments to staff and/or process as appropriate
Reviews Reports at the Central Dispatch level to monitor driver compliance of route order completed via FSM Board
Coordinates with Region management on all action plans that would ensure driver compliance with targeted financial objectives
Complies with and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies, procedures, and 'best practices' according to Logistics, DOT, ACHC, and local state labor laws
Ensures patients do not suffer service failures and communicates with the servicing branch of undeliverable stops
Demonstrates professional etiquette and courtesy when interfacing with customers and branches regarding issues that impact the ability of the Dispatcher to effectively route a work order to a driver in the field
Responds to telephone, fax, and e-mail questions/problems from branches
Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality is considered an essential job function of this position
