3+ years expeTeam is seeking an experienced Epic Consultant to support a multi-phase healthcare data acquisition initiative. This remote, hands-on technical role focuses on developing high-quality Epic data extraction scripts and collaborating with partner hospitals to ensure seamless data integration.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and document Epic data acquisition scripts based on defined specifications
Translate timestamp and metric requirements into Epic-compatible logic
Validate scripts across Epic environments to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance
Assess partner hospital Epic configurations, including custom workflows, Clarity/Caboodle builds, and module variations
Maintain and update technical specifications as new hospitals are onboarded
Troubleshoot Epic data issues and provide guidance on workflows and integration approaches
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of hands-on Epic experience (clinical modules, data models, or reporting)
Strong experience with Epic data extraction tools (Clarity, Caboodle, Chronicles preferred)
Advanced SQL and scripting skills
Experience with Epic build components such as SmartSets, SmartForms, BPAs, and Orders
Solid understanding of clinical workflows and EMR data structures
Proven ability to translate business and data requirements into technical solutions
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (required)
Preferred
Epic certifications (Orders, ClinDoc, Cadence, Prelude, Willow, Beacon, etc.)
Experience supporting custom Epic builds or multi-site implementations
Background in healthcare data integration, ETL processes, or analytics
Familiarity with Bridges, interfaces, and Epic reporting environments
MBA or other advanced degree (preferred)
