Design Director - Retirement Practice

Responsibilities
Define end-to-end experience strategy for Business to Business to Consumer (B2B2C) solutions
Translate complex concepts into clear user journeys
Partner with Product and Engineering to shape MVP roadmaps that balance speed to market with long-term scalability
Take ownership of existing experience designs and core flows created internally and externally, ensuring successful implementation
Translate third-party design work into build-ready specifications, prototypes, and guidance
Extend and evolve initial MVP flows using existing design system templates
Operate within a senior-stakeholder environment and steering committee structures as required
Facilitate alignment across multiple parallel workstreams
Partner with external vendors
Define pragmatic testing and feedback loops appropriate for an MVP
Use insights to refine high-stakes decision points and moments of user complexity
Qualification
Required
Director-level product design experience in enterprise SaaS, fintech, benefits, or regulated domains
Strong product partnership and decision-facilitation skills
Experience translating complex systems into human-centered experiences
Experience with UX and UI software/tools e.g. Figma
Comfort operating in ambiguity and matrixed organizations
Preferred
Experience working with external design vendors a plus
