Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including voice, data, video, and wireless services
Maintain and update computer networks, including software, VPNs, and hardware
Installs and configures network equipment to resolve hardware or software issues, and updates virus protection and security software
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for optimal operation of network systems
Provides advanced support for personal computers and printers, and fixes software and hardware configuration issues for users
Communicates networking issues and provides training to employees and management, assisting in the design of new system features as needed
Troubleshoots problems with network systems and collaborates with vendors for selection, implementation, and ongoing support of equipment
Ensure network security and stability, addressing potential threats proactively
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical network support
Provide technical leadership and project management for network initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in IS/ Computer Science or a related area (or 4 years experience equivalent) required
5 – 10 years in network engineering and design preferred
CCNA certification minimum
Preferred
Master's Degree in IS/ Computer Science or a related area preferred
CCNP preferred
