Director, Project Management Commercialization

Responsibilities
Lead project management efforts associated with commercialization activities to support successful execution across the Palsonify franchise (including multiple indications) and related commercialization initiatives
Provide PM leadership and operational support to Brand, Commercial, and Evidence Generation Teams (EGT) across Palsonify indications, enabling coordinated planning, readiness, execution, and post-launch optimization
Organize and facilitate Launch Readiness Team (LRT) and other commercialization workstream meetings, including agendas, attendee management, minutes, decisions, and action items
Accurately and efficiently maintain and track detailed cross-functional timelines and milestones for all components of launch and commercialization plans (e.g., marketing/brand, commercial operations, sales, market access, patient services, supply/operations, CMC, medical affairs)
Facilitate identification of key dependencies, risks, and issues; drive risk mitigation strategies, decision support, and contingency planning
Maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms for launch status, risks, decisions, and critical path updates for team, senior/executive leadership, and Board-facing forums
Facilitate communications across departments to gather inputs, align priorities, and share project updates; ensure clarity of owners, deliverables, and deadlines
Maintain an integrated commercialization calendar identifying critical decision points, governance reviews, team events, and milestones
Partner with Product/Program Project Management to ensure appropriate integration with Global Product Team strategy, timelines, and reporting (including alignment between commercialization and development activities as needed)
Support preparation for governance reviews, such as Executive Leadership Team, Product Portfolio Committee, and other executive program presentations. As the organization evolves, support expansion of scope into broader franchise governance in partnership with Global Product Leadership and Product/Program PM
Mentor and support project manager(s) assigned to commercialization sub-teams/workstreams; ensure consistency of PM practices and reporting
Drive creation and continuous improvement of PM tools, templates, and best practices; contribute to PMO initiatives and operating rhythms
Lead or support additional cross-functional commercialization, PPAM, or enterprise projects from initiation through closeout, including risk/issue management and status reporting
Focus on immediate and short-term (<2 years) strategic planning horizon while building scalable readiness mechanisms that can extend to future portfolio needs
Coach and mentor direct reports to develop skills, knowledge, and career growth

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a science-related field required; advanced degree preferred
12+ years of relevant biotechnology/pharmaceutical experience with 6+ years of direct project management experience
Prior launch management experience and understanding of drug launch processes, functions, and interrelated steps required for pharmaceutical/biotech commercialization
Familiarity with compliance and regulations for promotional activity
8+ years in a supervisory role
Strong PM fundamentals (meeting management, timeline/critical path management, risk and issue management)
Proactive, forward-thinking, and able to anticipate needs in dynamic environments
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across functions in a matrixed organization
Strong facilitation and communication skills (including presentation skills) with success influencing at all levels cross-functionally
Highly collaborative with outstanding relationship-building skills; ability to lead teams and resolve conflict effectively
Experience with project portfolio management tools/systems (e.g., Planisware)
Experience with regulatory agency interactions and annual compliance training required
Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills
Excellent PC-based computer skills including Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, MS SharePoint, and reporting tools
Preferred
Experience in life science consultancy firm is preferred
