Responsibilities
Develop models and supporting tools that help weigh decisions, recommendations, and actions against their material impact on profitability leveraging AI/ML capabilities
Collaborate and work with team members across the entire organization to improve cost management, ensure reliable supply, and ignite profitable growth
Help with strategic planning, review, and implementation to ensure portfolio recommendation is deployed across the business
Use data and market insights to meet end-to-end needs across the business to improve customer and team member experience
Ensure new tool development enables standard work and is additive to the productivity and effectiveness of stakeholders
Qualification
Required
BS/BA degree in data analytics/science, engineering, technology, marketing, or business preferred
5+ years business experience with a working knowledge of Advanced Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Cost Accounting, Finance and Economics
Experience managing large data sets and utilizing advanced analytical tools and methodologies to construct compelling narratives
Proficient in usage of databases (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks) and querying languages (e.g. SQL)
Proficient in one or both of the following programming languages: Python, R
Comfortable building and delivering presentations to management, staff and field audiences
Must understand Our business direction, customer requirements, supply management-marketing strategy, and demand generation fulfillment process
Experience driving and demonstrating results financially, strategically and managerially
Clear understanding of suppliers, customers, Grainger's strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Can apply thought process to construct executable plans
Change Management skills- inspiring teams to welcome change, embrace new directions, and future opportunities. Anticipate change and prepare for it by defining goals, responsibilities and time frames
