Responsibilities
Executes software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring that design constraints are met throughout software code development
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data, using these insights to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and participates in events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Qualification
Required
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability
Proficient in coding in one or more languages such as Java, React, etc
Expertise in Java, with a proven track record of building and integrating robust backend solutions using frameworks such as Spring
Experience developing interactive and responsive user interfaces with React, applying best practices in front-end development to deliver high-quality web applications
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Ability to collaborate with portfolio managers to understand their needs and proactively develop solutions that streamline and enhance investment workflows
Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis across relational database systems
Preferred
