Responsibilities
Assist with monitoring and responding to security alerts and events
Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning and remediation tracking
Help maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures
Participate in risk assessments and security audits
Assist with user access reviews and identity management tasks
Support security awareness initiatives and training materials
Help investigate phishing attempts and other security incidents
Work with IT teams to support secure system configurations
Gain exposure to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (networking, operating systems, security fundamentals)
Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Preferred
Coursework or labs related to cybersecurity or networking
Familiarity with security concepts such as firewalls, phishing, malware, and access control
Interest in healthcare technology or compliance
Experience with scripting or tools (PowerShell, Python, Splunk, Nessus, etc.) is a plus
