Responsibilities
Perform detailed cost analysis, including product costing, standard vs. actual cost analysis, and variance analysis
Maintain and analyze bills of materials (BOM), labor, and overhead cost structures
Support cost roll-ups, cost updates, and margin analysis across products and customers
Identify key cost drivers, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization
Support pricing analysis for new and existing products, including customer-specific pricing and margin analysis
Analyze gross margin by product, customer, and channel and provide insights to support pricing decisions
Assist with scenario modeling related to cost changes, volume assumptions, and pricing strategies
Prepare recurring management and operational reports, including cost reports, margin analysis, and KPIs
Support month-end close activities related to inventory, COGS, and cost-related accruals, including but not limited balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations
Investigate and resolve variances between subledgers and the general ledger
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial and operational data used in analysis
Support improvements to costing methodologies, reconciliation processes, and reporting templates
Assist with ERP/EPM data extraction, reporting, and reconciliation activities
Document processes and support internal and external audit requests as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field required
5 years of relevant accounting experience in a cost accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role
Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations required
Collaborative, customer-service oriented, and with high sense of accountability
Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial analysis with exposure to standard costing, absorption costing, or manufacturing variance analysis
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling); ERP experience preferred
Strong attention to detail with the ability to reconcile, explain, and resolve discrepancies
Ability to communicate financial results clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred
Manufacturing, CPG, or operations-driven environment experience strongly preferred
ERP experience preferred
