Assoc Analyst Lab Technician

Responsibilities

Assists chemist with a variety of laboratory tasks
Performs chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific tests using both routine and special techniques in compliance laboratory SOPs and ISO accredited methods
Records results of tests in LIMS (LabVantage), organizes data, performs basic computations, and analyses using standard procedures and guidelines
Installs, operates, maintains and repairs laboratory test equipment, apparatus, systems and supplies
Knowledge of standard multiresidue pesticide methodology (QuEChERS), allergen testing by Elisa, Capsaicin, moisture and fat analysis
Creates requisitions, receive and follow-ups on exception using Ariba
A detail oriented, team player with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
A customer focused decision maker, multitasking with good judgement, competent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Demonstrates excellent work ethics and behaviors with strong sense of ownership and passion for end results

Required

High school Diploma or GED
4+ years of experience in a laboratory work environment
Working knowledge of laboratory equipment; in particular, CEM, Mettler, and Agilent instruments

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Forensic, Toxicology or related discipline
Excellent knowledge of residue testing requirements and laboratory equipment operations
Strong drive and initiative to make improvements in a variety of areas with a minimum of supervision
Knowledge of laboratory accreditation
