Datacenter Manager
IREN is a leading next-generation data center business powering the future with 100% renewable energy. The role of Data Center Integrated Operations Manager involves developing new data center projects and managing a technical team to ensure operational efficiency and incident management.
Responsibilities
Lead, train, and retain the IOC team; ensure strong capability across facility, network, and GPU cluster operations
Define and maintain IOC policies, SOPs, and escalation paths aligned with Tier 3 security and operational standards
Oversee incident management from detection through resolution; ensure clear incident outputs, timely communication, and accurate post-incident reports
Analyze ticketing patterns, operational data, and incident trends to identify recurring issues and drive process or tooling improvements
Implement new ideas and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance monitoring, workflows, and operational efficiency
Monitor SLAs, KPIs, ticket volumes, and response times; provide reporting and insights to leadership
Manage customer escalations, RCAs, and action items; ensure strong follow-through and documentation
Coordinate with senior leadership on capacity planning, infrastructure readiness, and major operational decisions
Qualification
Required
6-10+ years' experience in critical IT Operations (NOC/SOC/IOC), with at least 3 years in a management role leading a 24/7 technical team
Deep expertise in major incident management, driving detection, resolution, and post-incident reporting (RCA) aligned with Tier 3 security standards
Proven ability to lead, train, and retain operations staff and build strong capability in network, facility, and compute cluster operations
Strong working knowledge of large-scale GPU/compute clusters and high-availability data center infrastructure
Demonstrated experience defining and enforcing SOPs, operational policies, and complex escalation paths
Proficiency with enterprise monitoring, observability, and alerting platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Splunk, Datadog)
Experience analyzing KPIs, SLAs, and incident trends to identify recurring issues and drive continuous process and tooling improvements
Expert ability to manage customer escalations and communicate clearly, accurately, and timely to senior executive leadership
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field
Preferred
ITIL certification or advanced training in service management is highly desirable
