Responsibilities
Manage and monitor the existing Microsoft Fabric environment, ensuring high availability and performance of the data ecosystem
Develop and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT flows (using Data Factory, Notebooks, and Lakehouses) to ensure data is accurate, timely, and analysis ready
Collaboratively design and implement enhancements to the data infrastructure, focusing on creating affordable and maintainable solutions that meet evolving business needs
Partner with data analysts to structure and optimize datasets, ensuring they support strategic decision-making and business insights
Maintain clear documentation of data lineages and system workflows to ensure the infrastructure remains transparent and scalable for future team members
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes or reduce system complexity, applying ingenuity to deliver high-value results
Qualification
Required
Typically, 1–3 years of experience in data engineering or a highly technical data analytics role
Proficiency in SQL and Python (specifically for data manipulation and transformation) is required
Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or Databricks)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Demonstrated ability to self-teach new technologies and a proactive approach to solving technical hurdles with lean, sustainable solutions
