Responsibilities
Implement and Maintain Project Management Office - Governance and Controls: Establish a Project Management Office (PMO) and oversee the tools, processes, KPIs, budgets, and governance structures needed to manage project schedules, milestones, and reporting across all phases—from planning through completion. Ensure consistent application of engineering standards and maintain rigorous control over technical documentation
Lead Technical Project Execution: Direct and manage all aspects of technical project execution, including scope definition, resource allocation, and detailed engineering design reviews. Troubleshoot and resolve all project issues, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Vendor and Contractor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage technical vendors and contractors, ensuring alignment with project specifications and company standards. Review and approve technical submittals and manage change orders as required
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and assess technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success and compliance with engineering standards
Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Serve as the point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates, detailed reports, and presentations on project status, issues, and outcomes
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Project Manager in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
Experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar capital projects (>$40m)
Technical expertise in engineering design and project execution
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot project issues
Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
Preferred
Experience in establishing and managing a Project Management Office (PMO)
Familiarity with safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in project execution
Knowledge of glass manufacturing processes and equipment
