System Administrator

Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for operating systems, workstations, and servers
Performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures

Required

Associates Degree OR Bachelors Degree OR 4+ years of related experience
2+ years of Linux System Administration Experience, such as RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu; particularly focused on security hardening, patch management, system automation, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards in both classified and unclassified areas
5+ years working in DevSecOps deploying and securing Linux containers using Docker and Kubernetes and integrating security in CI/CD pipelines
5+ years working with cloud environments (cloud GCC-High/azure)
5+ years of experience with DoD Risk Management Framework, eMASS, and Xacta
5+ years of experience implementing and managing DISA STIG compliance, using tools such as SCAP and ACAS (Nessus)
Experience with backend support for VMware
Familiarity with DoD-specific collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams
Experience working with Kanban and sprints within an Agile environment
CompTIA Security+ certification
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred

5+ years of Linux System Administration Experience, such as RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu; particularly focused on security hardening, patch management, system automation, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards in both classified and unclassified areas
Bash and Python scripting
Experience with windows system administration
