Law Firm Administrator
Adams & Martin Group is a top-rated litigation and healthcare law firm located in downtown Denver seeking an experienced Legal Administrator to join their team. This senior-level role oversees finance and accounting, billing operations, HR administration, vendor management, direct supervision of support staff, and daily office operations for a 25-attorney law firm.
Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting, billing, and financial reporting functions
Ensure compliance with Colorado trust account rules
Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and tax professionals
Manage employee onboarding, benefits administration, and personnel records
Oversee payroll processing and work with payroll providers
Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices
Address employee relations issues and maintain workplace policies
Lead recruitment, hiring workflows, and onboarding processes
Administer benefits programs and annual open enrollment
Directly supervise and mentor administrative and finance staff
Oversee daily office operations and facility management
Manage vendor relationships and office service contracts
Coordinate IT support and technology needs
Develop, implement, and maintain office policies and procedures
Partner with firm leadership on long-term operational planning
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Legal Administrator in a law firm environment
Prior experience supervising legal support staff
Strong accounting and financial operations background
Experience with HR functions including payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive)
Experience with QuickBooks and Adobe
Experience with Paylocity or comparable payroll/HRIS systems
Preferred
Extensive law firm finance and administration experience, including billing operations
Experience with Tabs3 or similar legal billing/practice management software
Familiarity with insurance billing platforms and healthcare‑related billing processes
Knowledge of trust accounting regulations
Experience working with benefits platforms
