Responsibilities
Manage continuous improvement project pipeline to prioritize projects in relation to cost, benefit, and effort
Uses Lean Six Sigma tools to measure, understand, and improve process variability and efficiency
Participate and contribute to corporate rapid improvement adoption sharing program
Ability to manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations
Works with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfill this responsibility the Reliability Engineer applies data analysis that can include: Statistical Process Control, Reliability modeling and prediction, Fault Tree Analysis, Six Sigma (6σ) Methodology, and Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
Provides technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnel
Other duties as required in support of Catalent Pharma Solutions high performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred), or related degree required
2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations
Provides technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnel
Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk, squat, kneel, or bend over for an extended period of time
Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents, equipment inspection, and frequent use of computer monitor
Preferred
Experience with project management or continuous improvement projects preferred
Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or biotechnology industry preferred
