Responsibilities
Architect end-to-end API management solutions using Apigee
Define enterprise API standards, governance, and best practices
Design RESTful APIs and API specifications
Lead Apigee platform configuration including proxies, policies, security, and traffic management
Integrate Apigee with backend systems, cloud services, and third-party APIs
Implement advanced API security (OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, threat protection)
Ensure API performance optimization through caching, rate limiting, and analytics
Establish API lifecycle management, versioning, and compliance processes
Drive CI/CD and DevOps integration for API deployments
Mentor Apigee leads and developers and provide architectural guidance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years as Apigee Architect with 12+ years overall experience
Deep expertise in Apigee Edge / Apigee X, proxies, policies, analytics, and developer portal
Strong knowledge of REST, microservices, and integration patterns
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
Apigee Certification (ACE)
