Senior Field Service Representative
Saab, Inc. is a leading defense and security company that is seeking an experienced Senior Field Engineer with a broad technical background in radar, command and control (C2), and weapons systems. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting complex systems in dynamic environments, while also providing training and technical leadership to customers and fellow engineers.

Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, debug, and repair complex electro-mechanical systems using technical manuals, schematics, and reach-back engineering support as required
Perform on-site software installations, system updates, and support data collection activities for technical analysis and issue resolution
Independently investigate and resolve complex system, hardware, and software issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams when escalation is required
Serve as the escalation point for issues that first-line technicians cannot resolve, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Document and report design, reliability, maintenance, and software issues to engineering teams to support continuous product improvement
Act as the primary customer interface while on site, provide technical leadership, status updates, and professional representation of the organization
Support other functional areas, including system installation, customer training, and operational readiness activities
Deliver training to customers on the operation and maintenance of Saab products
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree (preferably in an engineering discipline) with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or 8+ years of relevant military experience in radar, C2 systems, or weapon systems
Must hold a current U.S. DoD SECRET clearance
Must have the ability to lift and remove or replace components weighing up to 50 pounds or more
Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred
Experience operating, integrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex weapon systems and/or command and control (C2) components
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with established technical procedures and maintenance standards
Demonstrate the ability to identify, develop, and execute troubleshooting or maintenance actions that extend beyond written procedures when required
Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair radar subsystems, hardware, and operating systems
Proficiency in the use of standard diagnostic and test equipment, including digital multimeters (DMMs) and oscilloscopes
Identify system performance degradation and provide actionable recommendations to restore functionality, improve reliability, or enhance overall system performance
