State of South Carolina is seeking a compassionate, organized, and student-focused Program Coordinator I to support at-risk youth in achieving academic success, personal growth, and long-term stability. This role involves addressing students' social, emotional, behavioral, and attendance needs while connecting families to school and community resources.

Responsibilities

Support at-risk students by addressing behavior, and social-emotional needs

Coordinate student services in collaboration with teachers, administrators, counselors, and community partners

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized student support plans

Communicate regularly with students and families to encourage engagement and accountability

Connect students and families to community resources (mental health services, mentoring, housing, food assistance, etc.)

Assist with conflict resolution, restorative practices, and positive behavior supports

Document student interactions, services, and progress accurately and confidentially

Support student intake, transitions, and re-engagement efforts

Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school, district, and legal guidelines

Required

High school diploma or GED required

Experience working with at-risk youth, adolescents, or high-need populations (school, community, or youth programs)

Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively with diverse students and families

Preferred

Some college coursework in education, social services, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field preferred

Additional college coursework or degree in a related field

Experience in an alternative education or school setting

Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, restorative practices, or youth development

Familiarity with community-based support services
