Mechanical Engineer
KKR Consulting partners with businesses to solve challenges and streamline processes. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in the automotive industry to support design, development, validation, and manufacturing of mechanical systems and components.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and validate mechanical components and systems for automotive applications
Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection
Support prototype build, testing, and validation activities (DV/PV)
Analyze failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams
Review and approve engineering drawings and specifications
Support cost reduction, weight optimization, and performance improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with automotive standards, safety, and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive mechanical engineering
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and manufacturing processes
Experience with GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and DFMEA
Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, Creo, or SolidWorks
Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
