Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and inspections of HVAC systems
Compare construction documents with physical installation
Provide written reports regarding level of compliance
Interact with site personnel and clients
Travel to project site(s) is required daily in San Diego area
Qualification
Required
BSME, BSEE or BSAE w/mechanical or electrical specialty
EIT 4 years' experience in the engineering design and/or evaluation of building mechanical and HVAC
Working knowledge of HVAC systems
Fundamental knowledge of electrical and fire protection systems
Working knowledge of national and state building codes for HVAC systems
Demonstrated communication skills
Problem solving skills
Organizational skills
Ability to communicate in a professional manner
Ability to remain organized and multitask
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and/or PlanGrid
Ability to operate a computer (keyboarding) and other office productivity machinery
Ability to use visual acuity adequate to perform job duties
Ability to move through construction and existing building sites over rough terrain
Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
Ability to respond quickly to sounds
Ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs
Ability to move safely through confined spaces and narrow paths
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions or unconditioned areas
Ability to travel to sites, local and regional
Preferred
Construction Admin experience
