Responsibilities
Design full solutions using CAD software
Use fastening standards
Use ergonomic design
Good understanding of fluid power systems
Oversee Fabrication
Design full controls systems using CAD software
Design to NEC and ANSI codes
Advanced computer programming knowledge using various software languages
Oversee controls systems fabrication
Program various PLCs and HMIs for use in a diverse manufacturing and production environment
Setup and configure IO, VFDs, servo drives, vision systems, and any other intelligent devices
Develop data collection specific per application
Understanding of safety controls, designs, and applicable standards including hazard assessment standards
Actively interfacing with cross-functional team members, always practicing good team work
Ensure all process development documents are completed in accordance with the Quality Management system to support a smooth transition to production
Lead and Support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives within the facility
Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades
Qualification
Required
Associates or Technical Degree or equivalent related experience
2-4 years experience with the design and implementation of automated systems
CAD Platforms: SolidWorks, AutoCAD Electrical
Controls Platforms: RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, Codesys, GX Works3
Good understanding of fluid power systems
Advanced computer programming knowledge using various software languages
Understanding of safety controls, designs, and applicable standards including hazard assessment standards
