Responsibilities
Provide daily inspections and complete documentation including daily reports documenting contractor labor, equipment, daily construction progress, project site visitors, non-conforming work, safety issues, traffic control, field measured quantiles, field discussions with the contractor and public, and daily project photographs, labor compliance interviews and etc
Coordinate with clients/owners, other consultants, contractors, materials testers and others involved with the project
Read and interpret Standard Specifications, Standard plans, project plans and specifications
Monitor construction for compliance with project documents including collecting and checking material tags and certificates of compliance
Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures
Inspect construction (based on Caltrans Standards)
Communicate with project team members and provide recommendations
Perform other duties as assigned
Able to work nighttime
Qualification
Required
Highschool degree/GED or equivalent
2-year associate degree in relevant area is a plus
3-5+ years progressively responsible experience in construction inspection, or 6-8+ years of general construction experience
Demonstrate knowledge in construction inspection applications
Proficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Project
Valid CA driver's license
Willingness to travel
Competent verbal and written communication skills
