Administrative Assistant I, Commercial Operations, South Bend, IN
1st Source Bank is seeking an Administrative Assistant I to support the management and ensure the efficient operation of the Commercial Operations department. The role involves maintaining real property liens, processing lien releases, and providing general administrative support to the team.

Responsibilities
Records and maintains real property liens according to applicable county and state requirements and follows for clear title in accordance with the credit approval
Records and maintains collateral liens on titled collateral
Performs annual notification of potential buyers in order to maintain collateral perfection on crops/livestock
Processes lien releases in accordance with all collateral release policies, including logging and tracking status
Researches and prepares all applicable documentation to effectuate the release of collateral
Tracks for acknowledgement of life insurance assignments and follows up semi-annually to ensure the assignments remain in place
Works with lenders to obtain the needed items to clear documentation exceptions
Provides optimum support to management through ongoing communication to assess/reassess priorities in order to meet deadlines
Prepares computer generated reports and information to department/division management as requested
Performs follow-up on all administrative details relevant for department efficiency
Coordinates the efficient operations of the department/region by maintaining confidential and general files, scheduling daily tasks and performing necessary clerical duties relevant to the assigned area
Completes assigned reports and/or projects in a timely and efficient manner by compiling information and preparing it in final format
Serves as back-up to the switchboard phone and reception desk
Completes assigned compliance training related to the position
Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED required
Two (2) or more years of experience in an office environment preferred
Proficiency in MS Office software (ie., Excel, Word) is essential
Good organizational and prioritization skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Able to prioritize workload and handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Ability to meet deadlines by multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
