Analyst, Inventory Management Group
Amkor Technology, Inc. is recruiting for an Analyst position in its Inventory Management Group. This role involves working closely with cross-functional business partners to improve inventory efficiency through reporting and financial analysis, while supporting effective purchasing, consumption, and disposal of inventory.
Responsibilities
Provide global support in improving efficiency of materials inventory
Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, and Business Units to drive efficient purchasing and consumption of materials as well as collection and disposal of aged and excess materials
Generate materials reports to Sales and Procurement and provide alerts to get more loading and minimize excess materials risk
Be an advocate for an inventory management culture that focuses on proactive and upstream planning at the time of forecasting and purchasing
Seek continuous improvement in managing supply chain with a balanced focus on growing revenue and mitigating excessive inventory risk
Publish reports to reduce excess materials and thus improve working capital efficiency
Provide purchasing history evidence to customers so that Amkor can recover costs of excess materials
Participate in the global improvement of inventory efficiency by using data-driven analysis to identify trends, influence decision makers, develop KPIs and highlight performance to executives, prioritize activities, and proactively recommend ideas for improvements
Exposure to the company’s Revenue actuals and forecasting process
Qualification
Required
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Analytics along with a positive attitude, desire to learn and to seek growth
Demonstrated understanding of raw materials and manufacturing processes; familiarity with semiconductor packaging supply chain is a plus
Proficient knowledge of Excel for generating actionable reports from large sets of data is required
Position requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with demonstrated multi-tasking capabilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work across functional groups as well as cross-culturally
Proficiency in technical orientation and emphasis on manufacturing is a plus
Must be highly organized, possess keen attention to detail, and be able to successfully manage projects
Must be able to communicate cross-functionally within Amkor
Preferred
Knowledge and experience with SAP and Tableau
Internship or other industry experience
Data science or business analytics education or experience
Master's degree
