Grants Administrator 2 (PCNs 187372 and 187763)
NEOGOV is seeking a Grants Administrator 2 to support the State of Alaska’s efforts in environmental conservation. The role involves administering grants, loans, and contracts to improve and protect Alaska's water quality, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing technical assistance to program staff and grantees.

Responsibilities
Ensuring grant solicitations, issued awards, and reports comply with required laws, regulations, and policies by providing technical assistance to Department program staff and grantees
Participating in the drafting of federal applications, grant agreements and loans before routing documents through the approval process, entering information into the State database and filing required Federal reports
Coordinating with program staff and procurement to initiate solicitations, fiscal monitoring of resulting agreements or contracts which includes ensuring invoices or financial reports are coded correctly and payments are issued timely
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of a formal training plan as a Grants Administrator 1 with the State of Alaska
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Accounting: Knowledge of traditional accounting practices including accrual, obligations, and costs methods
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Compliance: Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and guidance
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Grants Management: Knowledge of requirements, practices, and procedures for soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and processing proposals, and awarding and administering grants and agreements
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Reasoning: Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Technical Competence: Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues
Equivalent to those typically gained by: Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or experience in accounting, grants administration, budget administration, procurement, professional services contracts and/or providing administrative support to a business or organization
