Responsibilities
Work in a team environment alongside experienced engineers
Specific tasks will be tailored to match the education / experience level of the intern as well as the interns learning objectives for the summer
The intern project will focus on improving the simulation environment for a precision control loop and the plant dynamics in a droplet generator production tool
The goal of the internship is to expose the candidate to a corporate setting and to provide hands on experience solving real world problems in a team environment
Interns will be required to document and present their findings as well as making an end of summer presentation on their technical achievement during their internship
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Possess strong ownership characteristics and commitment to achieving results on time
Have excellent written and oral communicative skills
Be a demonstrated “team player” with a quality orientation and interpersonal skills
Have strong problem solving skills and the ability to take initiative
Be willing to be “wrong” at times and be open to the ideas of others
Signal and image processing, data analysis
Control and automation system design
MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++
Productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology prior to beginning work
