VITA Program Assistant
The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) is seeking a VITA Program Assistant to support activities related to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. This role involves completing intakes, preparing taxes, providing general office support, and conducting outreach.

Responsibilities
Provide support with all activities relating to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program such as but not limited to completing intakes, preparing taxes, general office support and outreach
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED, some college preferred
Ability to work independently with minimum of supervision
Familiarity with delivery of services which are mindful of different cultural and language traditions, showing respect and validation for communities. Sensitive and confidential to the needs of the clients and the community served
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills
Ability to work a non-traditional work schedule. Evenings and weekends are required
Computer literate in Office Software (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
Must have a valid California driver license, have own motor vehicle at all times and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance
Ability to speak, read, analyze, and interpret information
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, and the general public
Good public speaking and presentation skills. Must be bilingual, English and Spanish
