Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible They will be responsible for creating an environment where the development team can be most effective, including but not limited to facilitating scrum events; removing impediments; coaching the team in scrum values, principles, and practices; fostering self-management and better coordination; protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions; promoting continuous improvement; providing assistance to the Product Owner with backlog management, ensuring clear communication of business value; fostering collaboration within the team and with stakeholders; and promoting scrum practices and principles within the team
Facilitation: Leads Scrum ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and adhere to the framework
Coaching & Mentoring: Guides the team and organization on Scrum principles, values, and practices, promoting self-management and teamwork
Impediment Removal: Proactively identifies and removes obstacles (technical, organizational, or interpersonal) that hinder the team's progress
Protecting the Team: Shields the team from external distractions and scope creep to maintain focus on sprint goals
Supporting the Product Owner: Helps the Product Owner with backlog management and understanding their role
Driving Improvement: Encourages experimentation and adaptation during retrospectives to enhance processes and outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information technology, related field or Business with a strong understanding of software development
Minimum of 5 years' experience developing and maintaining AI solutions
Must have completed or be able to complete a Tier 1 National Agency Check and be successfully adjudicated to occupy a Public Trust position
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Excellent oral, written, and communication in English
Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, Government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members
Must be able to perform with minimal management oversight and have strong time management skills
Preferred
Knowledge and expertise with tools such as Jira and Confluence
Knowledge and experience with developing Product Backlogs, defining sprints, developing Sprint Backlogs, and monitoring progress
Experience with tracking progress through the use of Burndown charts and/or velocity reports
Knowledge and experience with facilitating retrospectives
