Responsibilities
Lead one or more concurrent projects or major workstreams within a Program or Event portfolio, often with a technology focus
Own the project lifecycle from kickoff through closure, including detailed planning, resource assignment, execution, monitoring, and delivery
Partners with key internal stakeholders (business sponsors, functional leaders, technology teams, event operations) and selected vendors to drive project success and enable value realization
Develop project workplans, timelines, and detailed schedules; ensure alignment with business goals and internal stakeholder expectations
Manage resource allocation, logistics, and vendor coordination for event-based or digital initiatives
Lead cross-functional project teams through planning, execution, testing, and delivery phases
Monitor and track project status, milestones, budget, issues, risks, dependencies, and change requests using collaborative tools (e.g., Workfront, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps)
Drive issue and risk identification, mitigation, and resolution; escalate blockers appropriately
Facilitate clear and proactive communication with business partners, sponsors, team members, and vendors, supporting transparency and stakeholder engagement
Manage project documentation: requirements, meeting notes, decision logs, status reports, and project closure deliverables
Lead stakeholder meetings, project reviews, retrospectives, and lessons-learned sessions with internal business partners and cross-functional teams
Analyze project performance data to identify improvement opportunities; recommend and implement process enhancements
Champion a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence within project teams
Stay current with project management best practices, digital trends, and transformative technologies; share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to internal communities of practice
Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO standards, templates, and processes
Qualification
Required
Experience managing software and technology projects
Ability to work W2 without current sponsorship or future Visa transfer
Current residency in the Dallas region and ability to work a hybrid schedule (onsite, 2-days weekly)
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or Workfront collaboration tools
Polished communication skills that pair well with highly visible key IT projects
