Responsibilities
Oversee the development, documentation, and maintenance of efficient and innovative processes, tools, and methodologies to streamline the software lifecycle
Provide technical oversight across various systems, guiding teams in designing and operating production-ready solutions
Evaluate emerging technologies, mentor engineers, and manage projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision
Shape the architecture of multiple web applications, building and expanding infrastructure for multi-application communication, logging, alerts, and security
Create test suites to verify application reliability, performance, and behavior, and collaborate with users and developers to define solutions that meet operational requirements
Engage in architectural discussions, influence roadmaps, and take ownership of key projects
Resolve complex technical issues, drive innovations to improve system resilience, and oversee the implementation of current and emerging technologies and regulatory standards
Translate system-level requirements into detailed software specifications, ensure code quality through reviews, and maintain traceability from design to deployment
Qualification
Required
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Strong background in backend software development with at least 7 years of experience
Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Go, Java, or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with SQL or PL/SQL interfacing databases
Substantial experience in infrastructure development, cloud technologies, and modern software practices
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields
Preferred
Experience with concurrency programming
Experience with GitLab
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Docker
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with JavaScript frameworks like NodeJS and ReactJS
Familiarity with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka, NiFi, Redis, or RabbitMQ
Knowledge of microservices architecture
Knowledge of RESTful API development
Knowledge of large-scale system design
