Human Resource Supervisor

The Human Resources Supervisor plays a vital role in managing daily HR operations, overseeing employee relations, recruitment, and compliance with labor laws while supporting international employee programs and ensuring effective communication across departments.

Responsibilities
Supervising the daily HR operations, including assisting with employee investigations, addressing employee concerns, and resolving issues requiring HR intervention
Tracking and analyzing employment data to inform targeted recruitment strategies and ensure hiring, discipline, rewards, recognition, and termination decisions align with park policies, state, and federal regulations
Conducting periodic performance reviews with staff and maintaining the Associate Life Portal with current information regarding housing, dining, retail, events, and resources
Managing both paper and electronic filing systems, ensuring proper organization, retention, and destruction of records
Effective communication of park policies, guidelines, and best practices to foster a compliant and positive work environment
Overseeing the recruitment process by screening and interviewing applicants, coordinating orientation sessions for international employees, and planning cultural exchange events to promote diversity and inclusion
Collaborating with international visa sponsors to develop placement agreements and establish J-1 visa work contracts, ensuring compliance with immigration regulations
Assessing staffing needs, coordinating interview schedules, and managing applicant traffic through applicant tracking systems
Performing all other duties as assigned to support the overall HR function and contribute to the success of the park’s operations
Qualification
Required
Minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources management
Solid understanding of HR principles and practices
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask effectively
Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Physical ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, kneel, and lift up to forty pounds
Preferred
Proficiency in California labor laws
Experience in developing and delivering training sessions to diverse groups
Familiarity with HR systems such as UKG Pro, iCIMS, Dayforce, Equifax, and Optim8
