The Sheetfed Label Press Technician will be responsible for setting up and operating sheet-fed presses, ensuring that production meets quality and timeline specifications while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities
Study job tickets to plan substrates, inks, coatings, and finishing requirements
Load sheets and install plates/blankets; dial in ink/water balance, registration, and color fidelity
Operate the press to produce work exactly to customer and ticket specs, adjusting ink flow, pressure, and feed as needed
Keep a constant eye on quality through in-run checks against company and customer standards
Troubleshoot print or equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime and waste
Handle routine cleaning and maintenance and flag any repairs that require escalation
Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all safety protocols
Coordinate with supervisors, production, and quality teams to hit deadlines and requirements
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with sheet-fed offset or digital presses (Heidelberg, Komori, KBA, or comparable)
Familiarity with label, tag, carton, or specialty packaging substrates
Excellent color sense, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
Ability to interpret job tickets, schedules, and quality specifications
Knowledge of offset processes and preferred exposure to UV and water-based inks and coatings
Mechanical aptitude for adjustments and minor repairs
Comfort standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment
Reliable teammate with clear communication skills
