Responsibilities

Verifies parts pulled for shipment meet customer expectations for part number, quantity per carton/container, count (total order), packaging damage, and general workmanship
Verifies unit of measure in JDE
Audits workmanship and correct assembly per bill of material
Enters audit results into on-line QA database
Clears inventory of defective product discovered during audit
Initiates NCR rejection for defective product
Isolates defective product to hold area
Monitors inspection and tests instruments to ensure they are identified with calibration stickers and sticker due dates are current
Goal: Audits 10% of boilers produced
Obtains samples from Receipt Routing area per sampling plan
Uses Agile to obtain drawings
Uses computer to access other company servers in order to obtain test instructions
Uses various measuring and tests instruments to perform duties as required by QA instructions
Uses NCR database to reject nonconforming material
Assess analytical testing methods and procedures in order to determine how they can be improved
Collaborate across departments to assist in resolving quality issues with raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and possible design flaws
Assist with training new technicians on job specifications, standards, and regulations
Completion of Decision Making, and Problem-Solving Courses (Fundamentals, Determining and building your strengths, tools and techniques)
Portrays strong leadership qualities such as being able to hold themselves and others accountable to policies and procedures, decision making capabilities, effective communication, and a strong commitment to Weil McLain

Required

High school diploma or GED minimum
Able to use basic metrology tools such as dial caliper, micrometer, and tape measure
Able to use online systems and software such as Agile, JDE, MRB, Propel, Excel, and Word
Able to interpret drawings, bill of material, work orders, packing lists, test specifications and product audit check lists and sampling plans
Ability to read blueprints
Excellent math and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Communicate with all levels of the organization

Preferred
