Electrical Engineer - Kwajalein Atoll - 3293
RGNext operates, maintains, and sustains mission-critical systems for defense and space operations. The Electrical Engineer will perform maintenance on radar systems, support design projects, and ensure compliance with safety standards while working in a team environment.

Responsibilities
Perform predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance for the ALTAIR radar antenna electro-mechanical control system components
Monitor, test, and evaluate radar servo/control system performance
Write procurement and repair specifications to upgrade or maintain antenna control system components
Participate as a team member in the design and implementation of improvement and modernization (I&M) projects involving electrical, servos, and antenna subsystems
Maintain drawings as required to accurately document system
Review and update manuals pertaining to antenna and control system
Ensure spare parts inventory up to date; procure parts as required
Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance performed
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area
Support day-to-day operations to meet radar mission requirements
Perform occasional shift work to support operational tasking
Work with minimal supervision
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to perform critical thinking, solve problems and make logical decisions with limited information
Ability to effectively perform analysis, testing, maintenance, repair and replacement of control system components, cables, and wiring
Ability to effectively use standard electrical test equipment
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
Ability to work effectively as a team member
Ability to communicate with suppliers; perform material estimating; write technical specifications; read and approve submittals and finalize as-built drawings
General computer literacy using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical major in STEM
Two (2) years of field support experience, working on electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical equipment
Knowledge of analog and digital control theory
Hands-on experience with maintenance and repairs
Willingness and physical ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
Willingness and physical ability to work at heights up to 150 feet
The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison - Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
Preferred
Experience with VISIO desired
Familiarity with radar and tracking antenna systems desired
Retrofit of motor-generator DC drive-based systems with modern static drives and brushless DC motors desired
Five years of experience with design, analysis, test and troubleshooting of analog/digital servo/control systems desired
Experience with Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC systems desired
